FAQ

Here we have summarized questions and answers that we think you might have.  Just in case you don't find it here, please drop us an email and we will try our best to answer you as soon as possible.

 

Q : I can’t swim, can I take scuba diving course?
A : Yes, you can. But it will be better if you have snorkeling experience and feel comfortable while in water. We will teach you how to kick properly while scuba diving.

 

Q : Can I wear contact lens while scuba diving?
A : Yes you can.  But if you don’t want to wear it, we can provide mask with optical lens. 

 

Q : What is the minimum age to learn scuba diving?
A: The minimum age is 10 years old. Students below 15 years old will receive Junior certification card.

 

Q : What is the maximum number of students in one class?
A : We limit our maximum number of students in one class to 4.

 

Q : I don’t have enough time to finish the OW course in 4 days, can I do it faster?
A : Yes, it can be completed in 3 days but you need to prepare yourself a little bit of theory in advance.

 

Q : What if I can’t complete the training in that period due to my own personal problem?
A : You can continue your training anytime when you are ready, just have to pay the expense that actually occurred.

 

Q : How early and how should I book for a diving course?
A : It is better that you can book the course as early as possible so that we can do course arrangement for you to avoid disappointment. If not, we’ll try our best to arrange the time that suits you most.  To book for a diving course, we’ll need you to put a little deposit and you can pay balance while you are here in Phuket. 

 

Q : If I want to buy personal dive equipment, would there be any discount?
A : Yes, all our students are entitled to 15% discount for most items of dive equipment.

 

Q : After I have finished the course, how soon would I get my PADI certification card?
A : When you complete the course, you will be given a temporary certification card within a few days. It can be used for diving same with the original plastic card and it is valid for 90 days. Your original plastic card will be sent to you directly from PADI within 2-3 months time.

 

Q : What if I don’t receive my card within 3 months?
A : We will give you PADI contact person information and you can contact them. They will replace and send you a new card in case the card is lost.

 

Q : Do you provide free transfer?
A : Yes, we provide free transfer on the days that we take you out for open water dives (only in the free pick up zone, eg. Patong, Kathu, Kata, Rawai and Chalong). Other area pick up can be arranged with extra fees.

 

Q : How should I prepare myself before taking a scuba diving course?
A : Please be physically and mentally fit. Physically fit means you should be in good health, have ample sleep, and no alcohol drink before diving. Mentally fit means you don’t feel stressful to go into the water. Just relax and enjoy.
